We are pleased to announce that graduates of the Swiss Institute of Management and Sciences (SIMS) will now be eligible to receive the UK Qualification Reference Statement and to seek formal recognition of their professional qualifications in the United Kingdom under the Agreement between the Swiss Confederation and the United Kingdom on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications.
What this means for SIMS graduates
Eligibility for UK Qualification Reference Statement: Graduates who hold relevant SIMS qualifications may obtain a UK Qualification Reference Statement, which provides an official description and comparison of their Swiss qualification to UK frameworks and terminology.
Easier professional mobility: The Agreement creates a clearer pathway for SIMS alumni to have their qualifications recognised by UK competent authorities and professional bodies, simplifying entry to regulated professions and employment markets in the UK.
Enhanced employability and academic opportunities: Recognition supports applications for jobs, professional registration, further study, and career progression in the UK.
About the Agreement
The UK–Switzerland Agreement on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications establishes procedures for mutual recognition and cooperation between the two countries’ competent authorities. It aims to increase transparency and facilitate mobility for professionals by enabling mechanisms such as qualification statements and recognition processes.
