Following more than two years of incredibly successful collaboration on economics programs, SIMS and AIBT Campus recently marked a joyful new milestone in their strategic partnership, promising to bring even greater breakthrough values to students.

To express deep gratitude for this close and meaningful connection, the leadership of SIMS shared:

"SIMS would like to extend our warmest and most sincere thanks to Dr. Mohan and the entire faculty and staff at AIBT Campus. It is your dedication, passion, and shared vision that have nurtured our relationship, making it stronger, closer, and more inspiring with each passing day."

A Milestone Celebration and Inspiring Academic Horizons

On June 12, 2026, amidst an atmosphere full of excitement and pride, the SIMS Asia-Pacific Representative, alongside Professor Eric Jose Olmedo Panal (Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management at SIMS), attended the graduation ceremony of Master’s students in Sri Lanka.

The occasion became doubly special as both institutions officially launched the Bachelor Top-up programs for two highly sought-after majors:

  • Bachelor of Hospitality & Tourism Management
  • Bachelor of Fashion Design & Marketing

When Academic Excellence Elevates Practical Skills

During the launch, Professor Eric Jose Olmedo Panal delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on current industry realities. He highlighted that in today's rapidly evolving global market, while hands-on skills are essential, completing formal academic degrees provides students with a vital strategic edge and a solid foundation for long-term career leadership.

Echoing Professor Eric’s insights, the experienced faculty members from AIBT also shared detailed overviews of the academic requirements, program structures, and the vibrant global career and academic opportunities awaiting students upon graduation.

A Warm Gathering and a Meaningful Gift of Encouragement

The launch event was honored by the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Sri Lanka, alongside CEOs and General Managers from top-tier hotels and tourism organizations, and an enthusiastic group of prospective students. The atmosphere was delightfully warm, friendly, and collaborative, sparking great conversations and connections.

To celebrate this milestone and support young talents, SIMS is thrilled to offer 15 exclusive scholarships for the first cohort of students registering for the programs. This is a clear reflection of SIMS’s ongoing commitment to delivering maximum value and empowering our student community.

Once again, SIMS sincerely thanks AIBT Campus for the heartwarming welcome, incredible partnership, and unwavering support throughout our journey in Sri Lanka. Here’s to a thriving, long-lasting partnership and many more brilliant milestones ahead!
