The Swiss Institute of Management and Sciences (SIMS) is pleased to announce the International Mobility Programme in Malaysia for 2026, offering a unique opportunity for students to take their education beyond the classroom and into the heart of Southeast Asia.

Designed for students who are ready to expand their horizons, the programme offers a fully immersive experience that combines academic growth with deep cultural exploration in one of Asia’s most dynamic nations.

More Than Just a Trip: A "Living Classroom"

Malaysia was selected as the host country for this programme because of its unique status as a melting pot of cultures. Home to Malays, Chinese, Indians, Indigenous Peoples, and Eurasians, the country offers students a rare chance to live in a society where dozens of distinct cultures coexist harmoniously.

Living and learning in a new environment helps students develop independence, adaptability, and self-confidence. Students gain more than international travel. The students' diversity serves as a "living classroom, participants won’t just read about cross-cultural communication; they will practice it on a daily basis. From navigating local markets to collaborating with international peers, students will gain the kind of real-world adaptability that modern employers are desperately seeking.

Building a Global Network

The programme is open to undergraduates and postgraduates across various faculties, including Business, Engineering, and Data Science. However, the benefits extend far beyond the syllabus.

A key focus of the initiative is International Networking. By studying alongside peers and lecturers from different backgrounds, SIMS students will build professional relationships that span borders. This global exposure is designed to strengthen student profiles, making them "career ready" for a job market that increasingly values international experience.

Eligibility and How to Join

The opportunity is exclusively available for SIMS students and partner students from institutions outside of Malaysia. Candidates must demonstrate good academic standing, strong teamwork skills, and English proficiency.

As SIMS continues to push for educational excellence, this Mobility Programme represents a significant step toward building a global vision for its student body. It is an invitation to discover a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, and to return home with a truly global perspective.

Applications are now open for June and September intake in 2026. Students interested in "experiencing the world" are encouraged to contact [email protected] or visit www.simsswiss.ch for more information.
