Since diplomatic relations were established in 1971, Vietnam and Switzerland have built a partnership that reaches across politics, trade, science, culture and education. To mark its 55th anniversary, the Institute of European and American Studies (IEAS) is hosting the international conference “55 Years of Vietnam – Switzerland Relations: Friendship, Cooperation, Prosperity”, with the University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Da Nang and the Swiss Institute of Management and Sciences (SIMS).
The conference brings together researchers, policy experts and academic leaders from both countries. Over two sessions they will review the foundations of the relationship and discuss where the Comprehensive Partnership could go next, including innovation, energy security, people-to-people diplomacy and a long-term outlook to 2045.
